The Long Story:

Cheapskates was established in North Bay in 1992 as a sports consignment store. In 1995, a change in location to Main Street allowed the business to evolve quite dramatically and become what it is today, a core shop offering the best selection of bikes, snowboards, skis, skateboards, scooters, wakeboards, skimboards, apparel and footwear. Representing some of the best brands around, Cheapskates offers a unique shopping experience second to none. We also have a full service bike and snowboard and ski shop that operates year round

Cheapskates was the recipient of the 2009 Chamber of Commerce Success Story of the Year Award, a Nominee for 2010 Northern Ontario Small Business of the Year Award, a Nominee for the 2012 Northern Ontario Small Business of the Year Award, 2013 Small Business Week Appreciation Award presented by Nipissing MPP Vic Fideli, voted North Bay’s Favorite Bicycle Shop for 2013, a Nominee for 2015 Northern Ontario Small Business of the Year Award.
